Portrait of Eric Boyd Vogeler

Eric Boyd Vogeler

A Salt Lake City practice focused on civil litigation, appellate advocacy, and outside general counsel work — primarily for technology operators and companies in heavily regulated industries.

01 About

Eric Vogeler has practiced law in Utah since 2009. He began his career clerking for Justice Thomas Rex Lee of the Utah Supreme Court and for the bench of the Utah Second District Court, then spent six years as a litigation partner at Bennett Tueller Johnson & Deere.

Since 2017 his work has centered on building and leading legal functions inside operating companies. He served as the founding Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel of Bitsy, Inc., a first-in-class cryptocurrency wallet and exchange acquired by Overstock. He later co-founded a bootstrapped telehealth company and led it through its growth to over $100 million in annual revenue. He also serves as outside general counsel to operators in finance, pharmacy, water rights, and real estate development.

He runs Vogeler, PLLC as a deliberately small practice. New matters come almost entirely through referral.
